Rawr.
It sucks. But I do need to lose some weight. I'd be happy if I lost a good thirty pounds. Then, I'd be more than happy with myself. I hate be lazy and unmotivated.
SOMEBODY MOTIVATE ME!!
I'm going to make another goal that will probably end up dead with the others, but here it goes.
By March 10 or earlier I will successfully lose 30 lbs. Which is 10 lbs per month. Which is 2.5 lbs per week. Weigh-ins will be every Sunday when I wake up. There will be no more Del Taco food, even if it is free, and no more eating out, unless I reach my 2.5 lb weight goal on that Sunday. It will begin today when I wake up and there will be severe details about my

Good for you Katie. But think about lengthening your goal's deadline from March to, say... May or June. I set out last January to lose 30 pounds by the end of last June and ended up losing 50 by that time. But it definitely helped not to have the pressure of the narrow timeframe. So give yourself some breathing room by either setting a lower longer goal, like maybe 15 by March or 20 by April or 25 by May or 30 by June.
My plan was basic. I set a goal to limit my calorie intake to 2,000 per day and cut out most of the junky stuff. One of the excellent online tools that helped me do that was www.fitday.com, which is totally free and can help you keep on track.
The other thing that was cool was that I didn't have to go crazy with the exercise.I did start bicycling more, but mainly what I did was start to take Shadow for longer walks around the neighborhood at least three or four times a week (Kinda like the one you, me and Susan did to Millie's last time you stayed over with us).
The most important thing (obviously, duh) is to stick with it. You can get to where you want to be without making super radical changes like having to eat only spinach or eliminating carbs. Just option for healthier foods and augment it with low impact exerise and you'll be amazed in no time.
Love,
Dad
